Welcome to the Yavapai County Geographic Information Systems (YAVGIS) Home page, a division of the Management Information Systems (MIS). Our mission is to implement an integrated and cooperative GIS program among the local governments and agencies within Yavapai County.
Current Projects:
- Develop Outdoor Recreation Website in association with the Centennial Project – Current Go Live Date - February 2012
- Building GIS tools for Public Works (Phase II of County-wide road inventory project) – Development Phase
- Support Recorders Office in digitized map georeferencing - On Going
- Create new 2011 building footprints – In progress
- Support Elections Office updating records with new redistricting changes – On Going
- Migrate parcel editing in ArcMap to use the Parcel Fabric Tools – Analysis Phase
- Develop and integrate internal custom parcel number creation application between GIS and Assessor Database (WPF) – On Hold
- Convert road assets using dynamic segmentation to create linear referenced features that can be mapped for Public Works (Part of Phase II of County-wide road inventory project) – Implementation Phase
- Develop new internal custom GIS application for Development Services and Public Works (ArcGIS Server using Silverlight) – Completed Summer 2011
- Support the Redistricting Committee with Census information and mapping tools – Complete
- Support Flood Control Department to link bench mark document to GIS data - In production
- Support Assessor Office CAMA and DOR replacement project – Ongoing
- Officially retired ArcView 3.2/ ArcIMS technology – Completed Summer 2011
- In house ArcMap training for County Departments – Ongoing
