Welcome to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Notification System (E.N.S.) Web link. YCSO is pleased to offer one of the most innovative ENS systems in the country. Unlike standard ENS, which place a notification call only to the landline of a residence, our system allows the residents of Yavapai County to add additional contact information which can be used in the event of an emergency. This is especially important for those who use a cell phone rather than a landline.

How it Works
An ENS uses telephone numbers provided from the local telephone company. In the event of an emergency, such as a fire or flood, the system is quickly programmed to send out an emergency message to all of the citizens in the affected area. Currently, most systems use only landline telephone numbers. This greatly reduces the number of successful contacts, depending on the time of day. Those without landlines would not receive the message. Our system, the SurfSimple® Mapstorm, allows for residents of Yavapai County to add additional contact information, allowing for multiple contact points in the event of an emergency. These contact points include cell phones, fax machines, e-mail, pagers, Blackberry’s and office voice mail.
