When the County adopted the plan in 2003, it was called the “General Plan.” As part of the update to the General Plan, the name of the plan is being changed to the “Comprehensive Plan” to be consistent with Arizona Revised Statutes 11-806. On September 20th, 2010, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved the Comprehensive or General Plan Update process. This process will entail significant public participation. New Hours of Operation Approved
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved new hours for Development Services, Flood Control, and Public Fiduciary. These departments will be open Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm and closed on Fridays.  6/7/2010 12:00:00 PM
Permit Applications Now Available at County Libraries  Adobe PDF
In an effort to assist our customers, in the outlying areas of Yavapai County, the Development Services Department in cooperation with the Yavapai County Library District will now provide permit applications and related forms at libraries. 5/13/2010 5:55:00 PM
Permit Status of Construction Permits
Customers may obtain information on the status of their permit applications and active issued permits, as well as basic construction permit information for permits on currently active parcels in the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County. 7/21/2008 2:15:00 PM
Environmental Services accepts info requests by email
The Development Services Environmental Unit accepts e-mail information requests for On-Site Waste Water Treatment Systems (Septic Systems) and Percolation results. 2/25/2008 1:20:00 PM

The Development Services Department was established to centralize all development related services into a single department. All of the services provided are designed to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, through addressing, building permit review, inspection, development, planning, enforcement of the Planning and Zoning Ordinance, and environmental regulations for wastewater disposal. Staff also maintains the County's General Plan, and provides services to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Unincorporated Communities of Yavapai County Government.
